Ingredients: grass-fed and grass-finished beef tallow, organic jojoba oil, organic vanilla bean, vitamin E (non-GMO)
Tallow: Our 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow is sourced from small family farms in the USA that use regenerative and sustainable farming practices. The beef suet (kidney fat) is dry rendered and double filtered for maximum quality and purity.
Jojoba Oil: Our Organic Golden Jojoba Oil is cold-pressed from USDA Certified Organic jojoba seeds and is naturally rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E.
Vanilla Beans: Our Grade A, USDA Certified Organic Vanilla Bean Pods are sourced from ethically managed farms and hand-selected for exceptional quality. Because we use the entire bean pod, not extracts or oils, you may see small vanilla bean flecks in your body butter.
Vitamin E: Our Vitamin E is naturally sourced and non-GMO. It is a natural antioxidant and a small amount is used to extend shelf life.
Directions: Use the spatula to scoop a quarter sized amount and apply all over body. Start with a small amount and use more, as needed.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place. This product contains only natural ingredients, and is thus an ambient texture. Be sure to not leave it in a hot and humid place for an extended period of time.
I love the idea of this. I love that it’s completely natural and nothing sketchy in it. I just can’t say I’m a fan of beef tallow in my skincare. I tried to love it. It feels nice on the skin, but there is a lingering pastoral essence underneath the fragrance and the vanilla, while subtle is just so sweet. While I’ll admit I’m not a vanilla girlie, I’m a baker and am familiar and fond of the rich, complex aroma of real vanilla, but this smells so sweet like a sticky vanilla milkshake. I tried to give it away to a friend for the sake of clean skincare, but she told me she thought it smelled “beefy”.
Lately I have been hearing about the benefits of tallow from "reversing my age" [no science to back that one up] to softer skin. I'm not sure if either one of these are true, but I bought the product based on other reviews and, for me, it's just meh--so-so. I'm not saying that some people aren't getting a ton of robust results from said product. It's just not doing it for me. I'd rather eat my beef fat than apply it on my skin.
This tallow body butter goes on smooth and easy and makes your skin feel so good. Very hydrating and super easy to use.
This is easily the greatest product I have ever purchased. I am a huge fan of Catherine(founder) content on social media. Its buttery, its lush, and you smell soooo yummmy after using it. There are also so many benefits of using tallow products and I trust this source and its a CLEAN prduct above all else. So many boxes checked with this purchase. Worth every penny. You will not regret it!
I’ve actually never been so obsessed with a product before!!! It’s been so hard finding a good nontoxic & naturally scented body balm and HOLY SMOKES. The highlight of my post-shower routine is lathering myself in this. The smell AMAZING and consistency is WONDERFUL. Will 100% be restocking, plus ordering for all future birthday gifts. Price point is also great for the quality of ingredients and the container. I literally can’t run out of good things to say about this product & brand!!!
